My name is Mrs. Noreen Aponte. I am an English teacher at Octavio Cumpiano Font Elementary School in Rincón. I have a Bachelor's Degree in English-elementary level and I am working on my Master's Degree. I am a Highly Qualified Teacher. I began teaching at a private school, Liceo Aguadillano, back in 2005. In 2010 I was hired by the Department of Education as a Bilingual Teacher. Before I became a teacher, I worked as an administrator at Econo Supermarket in Aguada and Aguadilla.
My educational philosophy is based on allowing students to be an active part in the educational process. I choose to serve as a facilitator or guide. Students are expected to learn how to learn. This will provide them with self assurance and confidence. I believe students need to trust their ability to build their knowledge, they just need to believe in themselves.
